Originally made with wicker, the PK1 is available today in an updated version with an FSC-certified weaved paper cord seat, which looks equally beautiful from both the front and the back.
The weaving technique has been recreated by Carl Hansen & Søn in accordance with Kjærholm’s original chair design; it takes a skilled craftsman 15 hours to weave the seat by hand. The combination of industrial steel and weaving paper cord exudes lightness and elegance; the PK1 is today considered a design icon because it balances aesthetics, comfort and stability beautifully.
Felt-glides are always included and packaged in a separate bag. The glides are replaceable and come in a hard or felt version. Stack on floor: 4 pcs.

Throughout his career, he created a range of furniture designs – often in steel, leather and glass – of which many are icons in their own right while blending into the room as a whole.
