Nordic Modern

Handwoven Vibeke Klint runner from the beginning of the 21st century.

VK-10 is one of Vibeke Klint's final designs from the early 2000s. The grey-brown shade complements the existing collection of original Vibeke Klint rugs from NORDICMODERN and fits well into most Scandinavian homes.

The VK-10 rug and runner are woven using the Warp repp technique with Vibeke Klint's characteristic details in Flat weave, including the iconic "lightning" and "mouse stairs" patterns in black and white. The base colour is a typical "Vibeke Klint" colour, Pantone "Crocodille", brownish grey combined with black. Combining the two techniques warp repp and flat weave is challenging, as they work against each other and only the most skilled and experienced weavers are able to get the carpet in balance, to make the edges of the egg align and be straight. 

The VK-10 rug and runner are crafted with top quality natural materials. They are handwoven and made from 100% New Zealand wool and felted English wool, ensuring both durability and a luxurious feel.

Technique: Warp repp with details (lightning) in flat weave. The rug is reversible and can withstand even heavy use. 100% New Zealand wool has a high lanolin content, making the rug naturally resistant to dirt.

Available in grey-brown (crocodile) with details in white and black, and in 5 standard sizes.

Can also be customised in special sizes.
